Lindsay Hanson
is the Director of Digital Couture and Optical Ink. Lindsay Hanson is the Director of Digital Couture and Optical Ink. Both of her companies collaborate internationally in order to provide education and material innovation services. Lindsay is a material designer and researcher with her primary focus being metamaterials and 2D materials for textile applications.

Her first peer-reviewed journal was published in 2021 by Advanced Materials Interfaces. Her educational background includes a BA in Fashion Design from Paris American Academy and a MA in Material Futures from Central Saint Martins.
This course aims to expand opportunities beyond the design field by providing an in-depth overview of fabricating novel materials for sustainable wearable textile applications.
Emerging wearable tech utilising novel materials
Graphene ink can now be both coated and printed on traditional textiles
From start to finish designers will learn about
  • different types of frontier materials
  • fabrication methods
  • methods of production
  • programability
  • integration with traditional textiles
  • wearable electronic applications
In order to ensure the best learning outcomes, this course provides interactive models, quizzes, and labs throughout each unit that help further explain the more complex methodologies. Like this one →
